INFORMATION for COMPETITORS
Friday 8th July
Registration of teams from 3h to 7h pm in the square in Saint Jacques.
6h pm – technical briefing
Saturday 9th July
Departure at 7h00 am.
On race day, the road will be closed. You’ll have to leave your car at Frachey parking.
Starting from 6.00 am you will find jeeps that will take you to Saint Jacques in a few minutes.
You can leave your bags inside the tent set up in the square.
The tent / changing room will be monitored for the entire duration of the event. There won’t be any shower service.
Required clothing for the race:
- underwear for the upper body
- thermal socks
- long leggings + thermal shirt or skialp suit
- padded wind breaker jacket, minimum weight 250gr
- windproof over-trousers (better if slightly padded)
- gloves + spare
- cap
+ survival blanket
OBLIGATORY PERSONAL EQUIPMENT
- trail running shoes with integrated gaiters that enable crampons to be attached quickly and securely
- harness
- a” via ferrata” set with energy absorber
- classic crampons (min. 10 spikes) with the 6 front spikes made of steel
- 1 ice axe: min length 45 cm
- 1 screw-lock carabiner
- 1 pair of gloves + 1 spare pair
- CE EN12492 approved helmet
- mobile phone with the following emergency number stored in memory: +393483111535
Refreshment points and time check: Water at Pian di Verra Sup + 2 refreshment points at Guide di Ayas refuge (Lambronecca) and Quintino Sella refuge (Felik) with water, tea and single-dose energy bars.
Maximum time limit at Rifugio Guide Ayas: 3h for the men's category, 3h15 for women's and mixed teams
Maximum time to finish the race: 7 hours.
At altitude you’ll be supported by our mountain guides. In the lower part of the track, you’ll find signs and volunteers to show you the way.
In the finish area you there will be a first refreshment (coke,water, fruits).
Starting from 11h30 am, you’ll be able to have lunch in the area close to the finish line.
